Toyota RAV4 Floor Mats: Gas, Hybrid, and the 2026 Redesign Explained
The right RAV4 floor mats depend on three things: your model year, whether you drive the gas or hybrid version, and how much of the floor you want covered. Mats made for the 2019 to 2025 generation do not fit the redesigned 2026 model, and the hybrid floor differs enough from the gas floor that we scan and sell them as separate sets.

Which RAV4 generation do you drive?
The fifth generation RAV4 covers model years 2019 to 2025. If your RAV4 is in that range, you need the fifth generation set, and you need to pick gas or hybrid. The sixth generation arrived for 2026 with a new floor design, so it takes a completely different mat. We laser scanned the new model when it launched rather than reworking the old design, because the footwell shape, sill height, and anchor positions all changed.
Why do gas and hybrid RAV4s need different mats?
The hybrid system changes the rear floor. Battery packaging and the hardware that comes with it alter the contours under and behind the second row, so a mat molded for the gas floor leaves gaps on the hybrid floor and vice versa. Our catalog carries separate sets for the RAV4 gas and RAV4 hybrid across 2019 to 2025. If a seller offers one mat for every RAV4, the fit is approximate for at least one version, and probably both.
How much coverage does a RAV4 actually need?
More than the flat part of the floor. A winter boot carries in water that runs sideways, and slush lands on the sill and the lower footwell walls, not just under your heels. Yes. The hybrid floor has different rear contours because of battery packaging, so we scan and sell the hybrid set separately.
What temperature rating should RAV4 floor mats have in Canada?
Look for an explicit rating of minus 40 degrees Celsius. Mats without a published cold rating typically stiffen and curl somewhere between minus 10 and minus 25, which is normal winter weather in most provinces.
